Maximizing Opportunity for Technology (MOT)
MOT methodology unlocks the hidden value in underperforming assets by finding new ways to exploit a technology. First, Chris will work with the client to understand the technology and define criteria that would make a new application desirable, such as commercial attractiveness and technical fit. Using industry contacts and research techniques, Chris will generate a “long list” of new potential applications for your technology. Then he will narrow in on the target applications through iterative steps of increasingly detailed research. Chris has successfully applied this methodology with technologies as diverse as a novel plastics extruder, and a particle accelerator.
Product and Service Definition
Chris applies the principles of customer-centered product development to professional products in a B2B context using his rare combination of technical and people skills. He can quickly develop a picture of the current state of a technology using academic, business, and popular journals in Boston area libraries, and then market test product and service concepts through workshops, interviews, and surveys with stakeholders and opinion leaders. Chris synthesizes this data into meaningful insights that align product specifications with customer needs. Successful past projects include wound care, specialty chemicals, and software.
Project Management
Chris can organize a work plan to get your project on track - even if it has already gone “off the rails” – and make sure that you reach your milestones on time and on budget. Chris refined his skill as a project manager leading multiple, simultaneous, consulting cases at Arthur D. Little. He has continued to lead cross-functional teams across multiple locations in product development and marketing projects by maintaining focus, orientation to detail, and good-natured professionalism, even on challenging projects.

Chris can put his broad skills in B2B marketing to work on your commercial launch, including:
